Just steps from the Uptown and Forest City redevelopment projects near downtown West Oakland, this in-fill project will help meet the need for more workforce housing in a section of Oakland that promises to be one of the most exciting East Bay neighborhoods in coming years.
This parcel at Brush Street and West Grand will feature ground-up construction of three separate buildings on the same site, including two 60-plus unit wood frame-over-concrete structures and one three-story structure with townhouse-style lofts in two and three-bedroom configurations.
Construction is scheduled to begin in Fall 2006.
